Wind chimes can be produced using a wide variety of materials. Each different material will produce a different sound when the wind chime is played. Although ones produced from glass are beautiful, they are also susceptible to breaking when exposed to heavy winds or storms. One of the most popular types of glass wind chimes are those produced using stained glass. Some other popular types of materials used in the production of them include sea shells and bells. Both of these materials can make ones that produce wonderful melodious sounds.
